Last City Global: Outside the Feed

Hip-hop has a history beyond what’s showing up in your feed today.

Last City Global is home to Muddy Jonez, J.H. presents Global Warz, independent music, rare recordings, and material from an era that helped shape the culture. The site brings together new music, old archives, articles, and a place for people to talk about it.

This isn’t another social media page. It’s a website built around the music and the people who still care about it.

Music

Last City Global features Muddy Jonez releases, productions, exclusive material, and music from the Global Warz catalog. Browse the releases, listen to available previews, and explore what’s available to download.

The Forum

Hip-hop has always had something to talk about.

What made you fall in love with the music? Which album covers from 1996 stand out? Are you still buying records and tapes, or have you gone digital? And if you make music yourself, here’s a place to introduce it.

The LCG Forum gives listeners and independent artists a place to talk music without every conversation getting buried under another day’s posts.

96 Rewind

1996 was a year worth documenting. The records, the artwork, the people, and the events all tell part of the story.

96 Rewind takes a closer look at hip-hop and culture from that period through articles and historical research. It’s about going back to the source and examining what happened, not just remembering the hits.

Global Warz Station 96

Station 96 is the audio archive: more than 70 hours of DJ mixes and recordings connected to the 1996 J.H. presents Global Warz project.

It’s a separate collection from 96 Rewind, which covers the era through written articles. One preserves the sound; the other documents the history.

The Archives

There’s more material to come, including tape collections, rare mixes, and recordings that have been sitting out of reach for years.

These projects take time to organize and prepare. New material will be added as it’s ready, with access depending on the individual release.

Independent Music, Direct

Music discovery has changed. There’s more available than ever, but finding something outside your usual rotation can still be difficult.

Last City Global is one way around that. You can come directly to the site, explore the catalog, dig into the archives, read about the culture, and find music without waiting for a social media feed to put it in front of you.

Physical music, independent record shops, flyers, and word of mouth still have a place. Not everything needs to begin and end on a streaming platform.

Stay Connected
